Resumen
Se discute la pertinencia de la aplicación de la noción bajtiniana de realismo grotesco para analizar y comprender la significación del grotesco contemporáneo utilizado en algunas expresiones del rock, en particular el punk y el hip-hop. Para ello se analiza, especÃficamente, la imagen grotesca del cuerpo femenino en algunas canciones del grupo mexicano Molotov. El análisis, además de la mencionada contextualización teórica, se realiza teniendo en cuenta las condiciones históricas en las que surge el grupo Molotov y el género de rock en el cual se inscribe su producción. Finalmente, este artÃculo intenta responder algunas preguntas en torno al carácter contestatario, subversivo y transformador del realismo grotesco contemporáneo.
Abstract
The grotesque image of the feminine body in Molotov songs: toward a new type of realistic grotesque? This article is a discussion about the accurate application of the Bajtin notion of grotesque realism with the aim of analyzing and understanding the contemporaryÂ’s meaning of the grotesque used in some particular expressions of rock music like punk and hip-hop. Therefore, the grotesque image of the feminine body in some songs of the Mexican group Molotov is specifically analyzed. Moreover the mentioned theoretical context is carried out keeping in mind the historical conditions under which the Molotov band and this particular type of rock production arose. Finally, this article tries to answer some questions which arise around the controversial and subversive character of contemporary grotesque realism.
