Resumen
en este artÃculo se abordan los debates sobre la sociologÃa y la filosofÃa desde la perspectiva de la antigua Escuela de Frankfurt o teorÃa crÃtica de la sociedad. Se asumen las tesis centrales de sus fundadores y se procede a confrontar a las modas escépticas posmodernas y las argucias y falacias pseudoteóricas del discurso neoliberal. Se recurre a las investigaciones más recientes que exhiben los estragos humanos generados por el modelo capitalista neoliberal. Se muestra que hoy el capitalismo promueve la instalación de un nuevo totalitarismo y una nueva barbarie, destruyendo asà la vida propiamente estatal, el estado de derecho, la polÃtica y la democracia, amenazando la sobrevivencia del género humano y de la misma vida animal y vegetal. Abstract
this article addresses the debates of the Sociology and Philosophy from the perspective of the old Institut für Sozialforschung –Frankfurt School or Critical Theory of Society. The central thesis of its founders are assumed and thus proceeds to confront the postmodern skeptical fads and deceives and pseudoteoric fallacies of the neoliberal discourse. It draws on the latest research that exhibit human havoc generated by the neoliberal capitalist model. It shows that today, capitalism promotes the installation of a new totalitarianism and a new barbarism, destroying the proper state life, the rule of law, politics and democracy, threatening the survival of mankind and the same animal and plant life. In terms of Walter Benjamin we can say that “Hell is nothing that lurks us, instead it is this life here”.
