HeterotopÃas etnográficas. Lo distante, lo imposible, lo oculto

Resumen
En este artÃculo se elabora la noción de heterotopÃas etnográficas como una forma de pensar los lÃmites de un trabajo de campo antropológico. Dichos lÃmites constituyen tanto un exceso que no se puede integrar al proceso de investigación y sus estrategias de formalización como una imposibilidad que determina su forma negativamente. Se distinguen tres tipos de heterotopÃas: las espaciales, que corresponden a los lugares que un etnógrafo no logra conocer directamente, aunque sean relevantes para su investigación; las experienciales, constituidas por las experiencias que emergen en un campo en las cuales el investigador no puede participar sin alterar las coordenadas epistemológicas y metodológicas de su trabajo; por último, las interiores, que trazan una relación compleja y ambivalente entre los procesos subjetivos del etnógrafo y lo que acontece en el campo. Para ejemplificarlas, trabajamos con una etnografÃa que realizamos en la frontera sur de México, asà como con otras de distintos lugares del mundo.
Abstract
In this article, the notion of ethnographic heterotopias is developed as a way of thinking the limits of anthropological fieldwork. These limits are an excess that cannot be integrated into the research process and their strategies of formalization or is an impossibility that determines negatively its shape. The text distinguishes three types of heterotopias: spatial, that correspond to the places that an ethnographer fails to meet directly, but are relevant to your research; experiential, constituted by the experiences that emerge in a field in which the researcher cannot participate without altering the epistemological and methodological coordinates of fieldwork; finally, the interior, which trace a complex and ambivalent relationship between subjective processes of the ethnographer and what happens on the field. In order to illustrate these heterotopias, we work with an ethnography in Mexico's southern border, as well as others from around the world.
