Resumen
La Salud Colectiva, se ha propuesto históricamente reflexionar y comprender las múltiples sociedades, culturas, los modos de vida y cómo cada uno de ellos desde sus diferencias, demandan una preocupación y respuestas distintas por parte del Estado a través de las polÃticas públicas en Salud. Todos los seres humanos tienen derecho a una vida digna y por tanto a ejercer el Derecho a la Salud de manera plena, sin embargo, para las mujeres, hombres, niños y niñas que como personas habitan las cárceles, esta aspiración se evidencia como uno de los nudos más crÃticos que enfrenta la gestión penitenciaria. El objetivo del presente artÃculo, es dar visibilidad a la problemática de la Salud Penitenciaria en Chile, recuperada desde investigaciones previas realizadas entre el 2008-2018, integrando los aportes que la Salud Colectiva ofrece para su análisis e introduciendo los retos que se deben gestar para la transformación del contexto carcelario en esta materia.
Abstract
The collective health has historically proposed to reflect and comprehend the multiple societies, cultures, ways of lives and how each of them, from their differences, demand a different concern and responses from the State through public policies in Health. All human beings have the right of having a decent life and exercise the right to health, however, for women, men, boys and girls that inhabit prison. This aspiration is evidenced as one of the most critical issues that prison management confronts.
The objective of this article is to give visibility to the problem of Prison Health in Chile, recovered from previous research carried out between 2008-2018, integrating the contributions that Collective Health offers for its analysis and introducing the challenges that must be gestated to the transformation of the prison context in this area.
