Resumen
Este artÃculo indaga los procesos complejos y las expresiones culturales de los indÃgenas en la práctica de sus celebraciones. Describe la organización social indÃgena y el ciclo festivo de los yoreme mayo en Sinaloa. Se centra en los niños mayo, en los diversos idiomas que utilizan en la escuela y durante la festividad. Demuestra lo que hacen y cómo lo hacen durante sus propias festividades, cómo se relacionan con los adultos y cómo la festividad es una experiencia formativa en los niños. En las conclusiones se abre una discusión: los niños practican una negociación inevitable entre la escuela y su propio conocimiento, prácticas e idiomas. Se establece una discusión con ciertas perspectivas psicopedagógicas sobre la niñez y se pone de relieve la búsqueda de otras tendencias teóricas para el examen de los procesos socioculturales de los niños en contextos particulares.
Abstract
The article inquires on the complex processes and cultural experiences of the indigenous peoples that are expressed on the practice of their celebrations. It describes the indigenous social organization and the Sinaloa Yoreme Mayo festive cycle. It focuses on the Mayo children, on the different languages they use at school and during the Lent festivity. It shows what they do, how they make of their own the festivity and dances, how they relate to adults and how the festivity is a formative experience to the children. The closing implies a debate: children practice an inevitable negotiation between school and their own knowledge, practices and languages. The author establishes a discussion with certain psicopedagogical perspectives on the childhood and she emphasizes on the search of other theoretical trends and in the record of the childish socio cultural knowledge processes in particular contexts.
