Resumen
El Premio Nacional de Danza UAM-INBA es una condecoración de especial importancia en los escenarios nacional e intercontinental. Un evento que desde sus inicios busca reconocer la voz del ser humano contemporáneo, del ser humano vivo de nuestro tiempo que busca expresarse. Se trata de un premio que proyecta ya que el propio INBA y la UAM instituciones promotoras del mismo, se han comprometido a que este galardón tenga características muy especiales. Así ha llegado a ser un premio intercontinental en el que jurados internacionales han tenido una presencia singular, al igual que curadores de festivales internacionales que han sido invitados. Una vigésima cuarta edición del premio, que se cumple en 2004, habla de una constancia que es fundamental en este país.
Abstract
The National UAM-INBA Dance Award is a medal with particular significance for the dance stage in Mexico and the Americas. "Throughout its existence, the Award has sought to give recognition to the expression of what it is to be a human being in today's world." The INBA and the UAM have made a commitment to giving this award a continent-wide profile. Foreign jurors have played an important part in the award, and administrators of festivals in other countries have served as guests of honor. The fact that the award is celebrating its twenty-fourth year speaks to its lasting value in this country.
