Abstract
From the intersemiotic translation up to the intersemiotic competence. The present work focouses its attention in the phenomenon of the intersemiotic translation as a problem of meaning. In a recount of the efforts that exist for offering the reflections about the theme, the theories been elected shows some advanced that describes the semiotic process of the interpretation that operates as a translation process. The recount contains descriptions of the concepts as transmutation, transmaterialitation, “textcentrism”, global text, visual units, among others, and observes its importance for it called cultural semiotic. From the theories applied to the translation, the field application is defined and the instrument of analysis are outlined, not under the vision of the translator but of the receiver, like the subject that puts in practice the operations placed in the text to recover the sense from the construction of the meaning. It is sought to differentiate the two concepts: the signic competence and cultural competence that allows to propose a study oriented in a methodological way toward the intersemiotic competence as a fundamental translation process.
