Resumen
Entre la arquitectura habitacional del
periodo virreinal y aquella que se realizó al
inicio del siglo XX, hay cambios radicales
en la manera de concebir el espacio
arquitectónico y los sistemas de producción
de la misma. Estos cambios dan pie al surgimiento
del llamado Movimiento Moderno
o Funcionalismo. Este estudio analiza
las causas de esas transformaciones.
Abstract
There are radical changes between the
housing architecture of the viceregal period
and the one produced at the beggining of
the XXth Century, noticeable in the
prefiguration methods of architectural
space and in the production systems.
Those changes prepared the rise of the
so-called Modern Movement or
Functionalism. This article analyzes the
causes of such transformations.
