Resumen
Para entender con profundidad la naturaleza del nuevo Estado mexicano que ha emergido en los albores del siglo XXI, no sólo se requiere seguir las directrices que señala la teoría jurídica tradicional creada sobre el mismo desde los movimientos de la Independencia y la Revolución Mexicana, sino que también se necesita revisar críticamente las corrientes conceptuales desde las cuales ha sido asimilado para confrontarlo con las nuevas realidades estatales concretas que han surgido a principios del nuevo milenio. De lo contrario, seguiremos explicando la existencia del actual Estado nacional con viejas categorías conceptuales desfasadas de la nueva realidad histórica que ha alcanzado en el Tercer Milenio. Por ello, es indispensable reexaminar a la luz de los nuevos elementos de poder que han surgido en México, especialmente con la revolución de las tecnologías de información electrónicas, cómo se transfiguró la esencia del Estado-nación y elaborar desde allí una nueva teoría mediática del Estado que lo explique en la reciente etapa de desarrollo de la modernidad nacional.

Abstract
To understand in depth the nature of the new Mexican State that emerged in twenty-first century, it is needed to follow the guidelines of traditional legal theory established on the state himself from the movement of Independence and the Revolution, also it is needed to review the conceptual approaches from which state have been assumed, to face it on the new specific realities of the State, that have emerged at the beginning of the new millennium. Otherwise, we will explain the existence of the current national State by using previous and obsolete conceptual categories outdated form new historical reality. Therefore it is essential to review in the light of the new elements of power that have emerged in Mexico −especially with the revolution in electronic information technology−, “how was transfigured the essence of the nation state, and from there develop a new media theory of the State to explain it on the recent stage of development of the national modernity.
