Resumen
En este ensayo se busca discernir los orÃgenes del concepto de acción en la teorÃa sociológica con el fin de disipar algunas dudas que existen en torno al sentido de la acción social. Para lograr este objetivo fueron seleccionados los trabajos de sociólogos que, quizá, han marcado con más fuerza esta discusión sobre el actuar social del ser humano. Asimismo, se comparan las perspectivas de Max Weber, Talcott Parsons, Alain Touraine y Anthony Giddens con el propósito de resaltar la originalidad de su contribución respectiva y también contrastar el alcance de sus aportaciones para la sociologÃa contemporánea.
Abstract
In this essay we discuss the origins of the concept of action in the sociological theory with the purpose of dissipating some doubts about the sense of the terms of social action. In order to achieve this objective, we analyze the works of sociologists whom have marked perhaps with more impact this debate on social acting of the human being. The perspective of Max Weber, Talcott Parsons, Alain Touraine and Anthony Giddens are compared in order to emphasize the originality of their respective contribution and also to elucidate their contributions in contemporary sociology.
