Resumen
Se destaca el origen de las divisiones filosóficas entre ciencia, técnica, naturaleza y cultura, de interpretaciones distintas sobre la ciencia y la técnica. Se deduce que la experiencia técnica adquiere carácter cientÃfico cuando la verificación teórica se consolida como suceso técnico. Se destaca que la ciencia y la tecnologÃa deben servir al diseño del ambiente y sus objetos. Se afirma que el diseño es un proceso de hibridación tecnológica y junto con autores del diseño industrial, que la definición del problema es parte fundamental de su proceso; ésta se redacta como la propuesta a diseñar o a ser el satisfactor de la formulación de la tendencia o hipótesis, de acuerdo con Christopher Alexander. Se destaca la necesidad de las investigaciones empÃricas cualitativa y cuantitativa y el papel de la heurÃstica y la hermenéutica en la primera para el diseño.
Abstract
Emphasis is put upon the philosophical distinctions between science, technology, nature and culture and their different interpretations. It is deduced that technical experience acquires a scientific character when the theoretical validation is achieved as a technical success. It is underlined that science and technology must serve the environmental design and its objectives. It is sustained that design is a technological hybridization process and, following other industrial design authors, that problem definition is a fundamental part of that process. This is understood, according with Christopher Alexander, as a proposal to design or to become a satisfactor in the formulation of the trend or the hypothesis. The need of empiric research on design of qualitative and quantitative character is also emphasized, as well as the role that for the
first one play both heuristic and hermeneutic approaches.
