Resumen
En este artículo se describen los estudios desarrollados a finales del siglo XX en torno a los dife-rentes tipos de Estado que existen. Asimismo, se propone estudiar al Estado considerando los sistemas con los que necesariamente interactúa: la democracia, los retos que implica la llamada modernidad radicalizada, la sociedad del riesgo mundial y la interacción entre la dimensión intraestatal e interestatal. Tomando en cuenta los conceptos que estos sistemas implican, es posible explicar de mejor manera la situación actual de los Estados en un mundo más complejo y dinámico.
Abstract
This article analyzes the studies carried out at the end of the twentieth century about the different types of existing States. Furthermore, it is proposed to study the State considering the systems with which necessarily relates democracy, the challenges of radical modernity, global risk society and the interaction between the intrastate and interstate dimensions. Considering these concepts may better explain the current situation of States in a complex and dynamic world.
